More Than Four Walls

Home is almost identical to my Mom’s sweet and cuddly hugs wrapped around me. Home is just as sweet as our families heart because we live in the home that we live in. In my home, I hear my family's laughter from the jokes my Dad and Mom make. I hear laughter when we are looking at memories during gatherings! I hear the Christmas music we play when we are decorating our Christmas tree! A song that we sing is “Last Christmas” while we enjoy cookies and milk while we are waiting for Santa! My favourite sound to hear, my niece splashing in the pool in the summer time! In my home, I taste the hot cocoa that my mom makes for my sister and I! It’s so good, but we add marshmallows and whipped cream! I taste the traditional turkey dinners we have for holidays! We have turkey dinner every Christmas, Easter and Thanksgiving! I taste the sugar cookies my Mom makes, and she makes them for holidays like Valentine's Day, Christmas, Easter and Mother’s Day! I can see my niece looking out the window waiting for me to get inside and give her snuggles! She loves Spiderman so whenever she’s over I try to wear my Spiderman shirt! I can see my siblings being so nice to me and playing with me. Sometimes, we get in little fights but we will get over it! I can see the love my parents have for all of us. It’s not because they get us gifts, it’s because they put in the love to get us those gifts. Home will forever be my happy place. If you’re reading this, I hope you also have a place you call home.
