My Home is Like a Dream

My home is like I'm in a far-away land wrapped in warm cozy blankets. While falling asleep beside a hot, crackling fireplace. The heat flies onto my face while I slowly doze off. When I get home from a long day, my heart warms up like I'm the fire the marshmallows are being toasted on, and the flames never stop burning. When I wake up, I wake up to the trees dancing in the wind, my dog barking outside, and my fan buzzing as the wind flies onto my face. Downstairs smells like fresh food that has just been cooked, or coffee that has just been brewed, mixed with a hint of vanilla candles. My room is warm, cozy, dark, and smells like perfume and candles! However, it makes me feel like I'm in a whole other world, bundled up in thousands, and thousands of clouds. On the other hand, my brothers' room is cold, bright, full of unnecessary garbage, and smells disgusting. My dog brings laughter wherever she goes. Bounding up, down, and side to side, making people have long, wide grins on their faces! My home sounds like doorbells ringing, or fists knocking at our door. Whether it could be my brothers’ friends, or my grandparents coming over with their dog, to watch a hockey or football game. Meanwhile, the dogs fight over toys in the background. My home makes me feel safe and protected, full of people who have my whole heart. However, some people out there don’t have a home. If so, Habitat for Humanity is the place to go.
