My meaning of home

Home, my home isn't just a building, but my safe space. Home is a place where I can be myself and feel comfortable. In my home we have memories built into the walls, the amazing smell of me baking my famous chocolate banana brownies with my mom, the sound of my dads cringe 90s music playing while he does a workout, my three beautiful dogs who sometimes bark at absolutely nothing which I find hilarious. All these things are a part of my home, what makes my home. My family puts in so much effort into my home to make it happy, especially my sisters. They're always there for me and they always have my back. Whenever I dont get something or i dont understand it, they always explain it to me and they help me with it. That's why they're a part of my home, I love them so much. Some people don't have a happy home, or don't like their home but home can be anything you want it you be. It doesn't necessarily need to be your house. It could be your friend's place, or it could be your school, the woods, maybe even your work place. If it's where you feel comfortable and you can feel good about yourself and where you express yourself, so be it. No one needs to tell you where your home is, you get to decide that. So in the end, home isn't just a place where you live, it's the place where you feel loved, safe and truly yourself. For me, home is the people that make me smile, the memories we share and the comfort I feel every single day. That's what makes a house become a home.
