The Meaning of Home

The Meaning of Home When I am at home, I feel that my Aunt Sal and my cousin Jaida, who both passed away, are always with me. I know that Aunt Sal is there every time I see a rainbow or a dime. She always leaves dimes in the weirdest places. Jaida’s pictures are all over my room and when I am sad, I just grab one of my pictures and hug it. Home is also where I play with my Nana and my Papa. Sometimes we play school, store and vampires (just make believe). Home feels like a shield because it protects me and makes me feel like I belong somewhere. Home is where my mom, dad, nana, papa and my dogs live. I have two pets one of them is Bubba, he's a French bulldog and my other one is named Skiggy and she's part Chihuahua. Home has my own bedroom and my cozy bed that I sometimes share with my mom Home makes me feel good. It feels like I belong somewhere. Home is where special occasions happen. It is where I celebrate Christmas, birthdays, Easter, Valentine’s Day and Family Day. I also feel like our classroom is my home because I have a nice teacher, lots of friends and I love school. I hope everyone in the world has a place to call home.
