The Meaning of Home

To me, home is not a building It's a feeling. Home is calm even in the loudest places. Home is where everybody fits in. Home is the reason I always feel I belong. Home is like a kite that's always soaring high away from challenges. Home is my safe place far away from danger. Home is the feeling of happiness when I feel down. Home can also be anywhere, it can be in your house, your family's houses, in the city, in the province, the country, anywhere in the world. Home is a feeling of joy when dinner is finally ready and I get to eat with my family. Home was the feeling of excitement when I took my first steps . Home is watching my cat playing with a toy and seeing the joy in her eyes. Home is like walking outside on a cold day and feeling a warm breeze. Home is like a door opening to any possibility. Home is the feeling of peace when it is Christmas or Thanksgiving and I get to eat with my family. Some of them live four hours away and I get to see almost all of them, and have an amazing feast all of us can enjoy. To me home is not a building, it is a feeling. Thank you Habitat for Humanity for helping people feel the same way I do.
