Home isn't Just a building
Have you ever wondered what home really means? Some people think it is just a house with walls and a roof, but I believe it is much more. Home is a feeling. It is where you feel safe, and loved. It is where your best memories are made and where you can truly be yourself. When I think about home, I think about the people who make every day special.
My family means the world to me. I love sitting on the couch watching Gilmore Girls or baking with my mum, even when it gets messy. My dad encourages me to try new things and do my best. Even small moments, like sharing our day at dinner, make me feel loved and supported. Without my family, life would feel empty.
My sister is another big part of my home. Even though we argue and annoy each other, I know she cares about me. She helps me when I need advice and cheers me up on bad days. There would be a lonely echo in the hallway between her room and mine. She makes me feel interesting and exciting.
My friends also make my world brighter. They stand up for me, laugh with me, and stay by me during hard times. They make school feel welcoming and safe, like a second home.
I could go on about what home means to me—my family, my sister, and friends. About watching Gilmore Girls with my family, how my friends are always there, and how empty it would feel without my sister.Home isn’t just a building; it’s everywhere—at school, at home, or your favorite spot in the park. It could be a sibling, a pet, or anyone who makes you feel loved. Take a moment and think about what home means to you.
