What Home Means to Me

What does home mean to you? How do you feel at home? To me, home means a safe place where I can be myself, where my family is, and where memories are made. I've had many memories in my home from birthdays to pets. I have also had memories not only in my house but with my family. Home is where my family goes. We like going on trips to Florida, Cuba, Canada’s Wonderland, and Niagara Falls with friends and family. At my home and with my family, I feel loved, content, and happy. I see home as my loving family and comfy couch. At home I smell the fresh baking and dinner getting made. It's calm at home, just relaxing on the couch, hearing people's phones and instruments. This makes me feel safe and loved. I love family and all the things they do. I love getting the extra cake scraps with leftover icing and fondant after my mom ,makes cakes. I also love my dad's cooking skills on the barbecue. It always tastes so good. I like that I have a kind, loving, and relaxed family. For me I feel that home isn't just a country or place that you live in or that you like. It’s your family that makes where you are a home. You should feel safe and content at your home.
