Home isn't just a building.

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to not have a home? Just imagining it feels unsettling. To me, home is not simply a building made of wood and bricks. It is the place where I feel safe, understood, and completely myself. Home is built from memories, laughter, and the people who stand beside you no matter what. One of my favorite home stories began when I was five years old. My dad gave me his old PlayStation 3 and bought me a few games. I was obsessed with Sonic, so he surprised me with Sonic Heroes. I remember feeling so excited—until we realized it didn’t work on the PS3. I was heartbroken. Soon after, my dad brought home Minecraft instead. That small change created years of memories. My mom started playing too, and together we built castles, explored caves, and survived monster attacks. Sometimes our houses caught on fire by accident, and we laughed while trying to fix the damage. Minecraft became more than just a game to me. I’m now VydenXP, a YouTuber. I make videos about Minecraft. I record survival challenges, cool builds, and funny moments with my friends. Making videos lets me share my creativity with others and makes me proud of what I can create. My friends are another big part of my home. We play games almost every weekend, but it’s also about sleepovers, inside jokes, and knowing someone always has your back. Most importantly, home is my family. My dad once combined two broken controllers into one working “Frankenstein controller.” Even though my parents live in two different houses, that just means I have two homes filled with love. In the end, home is where I belong.
