Meaning of Home

Board games with my sisters, family movie nights, and the aroma of brownies baking in the oven. These are just a few of the many meaningful memories I have of my home. What is the meaning of home? Every home is unique in their own way and means different things to different people. To me, home is meaningful for many reasons, all of which evoke fond memories! Home makes me feel safe from many things. It can keep me safe from bad weather such as storms, cold weather, rain or heat. It protects me from bad people who may want to hurt or steal, or dangerous animals that may lurk like coyotes or skunks. My home is cozy, snug, pleasant, and welcoming. Whether I am snuggled up in my favourite spot on the couch reading a graphic novel, baking brownies with my family on a Sunday afternoon or watching a movie with my family on Sunday nights, they all elicit feelings of peace and happiness within me. These are just a few of the many reasons why my home is meaningful to me, and why I cherish all the memories I have, and am looking forward to making new ones.
