Habitat for Humanity homes are so important because it gives so many people a new home and a fresh start . Did you know that in 2023 Habitat for Humanity helped 13.4 million people move into houses? Habitat for Humanity helps the people that are struggling to keep a roof over their heads and support their family. Did you know, 50% of families and children are doing better in school because they have a roof over their head, a place to make food, a spot to keep their belongings safe, and not have to worry about where they are sleeping. There is an application process and you need to apply if you are in need of housing. All of the houses built by Habitat for Humanity are from all of the donations and the labour from the volunteer workers. The volunteer workers are one of the reasons that these houses are less expensive for families to keep a roof over their head. It takes about 4 years to get a house to call your own. Habitat for Humanity is building houses in Walkerton, Goderich and in many more areas close to us. When you get one, it really puts a smile on your and your child's face. Habitat for Humanity is a life changer for everyone that was supported, and it gives your family a big boost in life.
