What Home Means to Me
A house is not a home. A house is somewhere to eat, sleep and live in. Home is a place with family and love. Home is also somewhere that you learn from other people and carry memories along with you throughout your life. When you’re sad others will help you be happy.
Like us, maybe you have photos of your family in your home, some old, some new yet they still give you memories of the past. Maybe your parents taught you how to use skills you didn't know before such as baking cookies or making breakfast together. It would always taste good no matter how long it takes to make it. Home is a warm safe place filled with love no matter what.
You may not believe it but home can be in more places than one. It could be anywhere from where you live now to somewhere hours away. It could be the beach, forest or a grandparent’s house. Anywhere can be home to anyone as long as you're with people you love. Without home people feel lost however when someone finds their home they realise home is little but a strong shield that protects you from the darkness.
