What Home Means To Me
Home means to me that friends and family are there when you need them and they care for you. There are a few places I feel at home, like my cottage, my house, camp, grandparents house, and friends houses. Home can be anywhere, but home is where memories are made.
Some of the memories I make are on vacation or traveling. Like when we went to Portugal to visit my moms parents. Or when we went to the Dominican and swam in the ocean and had amazing food. When I went to Quebec, My brother and dad and I went skiing on a forest trail and we got lost, but we found a way out. I love these memories.
I also make memories at home. Like my brother and I having glow stick parties. Or having movie nights with popcorn. Or when we found out we had mice in our tree on Christmas. But my favorite is when my whole family gets together and sits down to eat Thanksgiving dinner, because we are all together and I feel safe with them.
I am so grateful to have a house for lots of reasons. Like if I didn't have one I wouldn't wake up on christmas day in my comfy bed and drink hot cocoa while opening presents. Or on my birthday when I wake up and see balloons all over my house. Not just that, home is where I can be myself.
I am so lucky to have a roof over my head, and others should have one too. Habitat for Humidity can make it happen if everyone helps. I hope other people that don't have a house can have one as good as mine. And I hope they make lots of memories in their house with family and friends.
