What home means to me

I have two homes so my perspective is a little different. I think Home is relative. To me home doesn't necessarily have to be where you took your first steps, but where you are with people you trust and feel safe around. And a place where you can be your absolute self and everyone there will love you for it. I think that home is nothing but a building of sorts for a family to love and grow (literally and figuratively). For me a home is where the people are and where the music is. If you ever come to one of my homes you will see people playing guitars and pianos. And you will hear people singing and laughter. And you will smell fresh home cooked meals. I am so thankful that I have such a kind loving environment to grow, and my home is a great space to practice love and kindness. I hope by writing this that I’m giving a person the opportunity to have what I have. Thank you to habitat for humanity
