Home is More Than 4 Walls

My home is more than a house. It means way more than that, it’s more than the 4 walls that make up the rooms it’s the memories inside them. My home tastes like a warmed up homemade pumpkin pie on a crispy, cold fall day. Or birthday cake on birthdays with glowing candles and lots of colourful colours. It tastes like cold treats with my friends all summer long. My home sounds like a party with all my friends and family on Saturday nights. My home sounds like a sports center with TV’s blaring with football, hockey, and baseball playing and loud cheering. My home feels like a cozy, warm hug with joy all around. My home feels like cold AC on hottest summer day and burning cement tiles. My house feels like a home to me. In my home I see my comfy bed and LED lights as I enter my room. In my home I only see neatness, as my mom keeps our house spotless. In my home I see my wonderful family together in our basement watching our favourite TV shows, and most importantly we're together. My home smells like a steakhouse on summer nights as music plays, barbequed burgers and steaks, and the fire smell lifts the neighbourhood. I smell the chlorine from our backyard pool, the water splashes like a mini wave pool when my brother and I swim in it. Thank you, Habitat for Humanity for making safe homes for everyone.
