My Mum, My Home

Home. Home might seem like just another word from the dictionary, but home has so many meanings. What is home for you? I think that home is not a building or the roof that shelters you. I think it is where you can share your love but also where you can receive it from others who care about you. Home is with my mum. I love my whole family, but my mum is special. She makes me feel warm like I am all curled up under a warm blanket slowly falling asleep, knowing that I will be okay. My mum and I like to walk alone together. When we do, she tells me stories about her childhood. Sometimes funny, sometimes sad, sometimes scary. It makes me think of all the stories from my past that I will tell my kids when I am older. At home I feel comfortable and secure. But whenever I am with my mum, I feel that all the time.
