Home is Not a House

A house is some wood and bricks, but a home is just a little bit more. I have two homes and that is okay. I love my two homes. I sometimes don’t really appreciate my homes, but I will today. I wake up in the morning and eat breakfast with my sisters. Even though we sometimes fight in the end they’re still my family. A house you build but with no memories, in a home you share memories. When I walk through the door, I smell cookies and say, “Yumm!” I ask, “Can I have one?” I come up the stairs and say what a good day today was. My mom says I can only have one cookie so I don't spoil dinner. A house is a place where you don't feel safe but a home on the other hand makes you feel welcome and warm on the inside. At a house you feel lonely but at your home you may feel like you have too many people around, sometimes you wish you were all alone but most of the time you feel like you need the people around you. In a house you may sit and feel alone, you feel like there's no one around you like you're all alone but in a home, you feel warm grateful and you have dinner every night surrounded by people you love. You should never take a home for granted. Some people have two houses and that's OK, some have one and some have 3 but that's very unlikely. Sometimes I feel like I want to be all alone, but when I am I feel like that I like the thought that people are still around me when I need them the most.
