The Meaning of Home

Hi my name is Sway. I am from Mono, Ontario . But my dad took a job in Cape Breton NS .In the summer of 2024 was the very first time I came here. I was so mad I told them I hated it here. I said it was not my home but home is not a place or a house. . Home is never being judged or made fun of for who you are . Home is love. Love that can't be bent or broken . Home is the place you are safe to be yourself . No matter what . For me home is playing with my dogs Koda and Kai. It's my dad and his horrible dad jokes or my moms warm hugs. It's the place where I can feel ok about everything. I can talk to my mom about my day or make mistakes and not get mean looks or rude comments . Home is an unbreakable bond. People you can trust and rely on. On good days and bad days, happy days or sad days no matter what. One of my favorite things about my home is we always sit together at dinner and eat but we also talk about are day We will care about each other no matter what . A home is not a house or place home is the people and animals your with. It's safe and kind. I don't have to pretend to be anyone. I can just be myself and its ok. I love my home with all my heart I always will no matter what. Thank you for the chance to take part in this competition.
