Where my Home is

What is home for you? Home for me is the feeling of love. It is the feeling of when I sit by the fire and the warmth cradles around me. Happiness, care, and attachment are the feelings that come to my mind. Home is like a tree. It stands strong and if it were gone there would be an empty space for no one to share it with. A tree provides you with oxygen to breathe just like my parents provide me with love, safety, and security. A tree sees all the neighbors and our ancestors of the past and the people before us. A tree has a story to tell just like my family has theirs to tell. The house sees the memories I share with my parents. Even a tree has a family; the birds that live there and the squirrels too. No tree is the same, just like no family is the same. Home isn't a physical place; it is a feeling and a sentiment you share with the people you love. For me, that is my mom and my dad. Even if I were to lose the physical aspect of home, I would still have the people who care for me, and that is all that matters.
