Home That Defines Us

Home is not a place where one stays at or sleeps in, it is a place of wholesome warmth and safety that always welcomes and provides a safe environment. My home is a place where I interact with my family and continue to create life-long joyful memories with them. Together, we watch television, play video games, enjoy our food and desserts, customize our rooms, share the events of our day, and much more. It is a cozy and calm place where everyone has the essentials of their daily life and most importantly, the moral and emotional support to grow and have a healthy and positive lifestyle. Being home with my family, I know that I will always be supported and safe! Sadly in Canada, not everyone has a place that they can call their home and which can provide them with the essentials of their life. My prime reason for taking part in this competition is to support in whatever small way I can to help less fortunate people get homes and live happy lives. Right now, if I can help a single person feel how I feel at home, I think I have won the biggest competition in this world. I hope no one in this world anywhere gets to feel that they don't have a safe place like the home I know!
