~Home is where the heart is~

Home, a four-letter word that we use everyday. To other people, home means a building where you live. But to me, home is my whole world, it’s like a safe vault full of memories, love, emotions, photos of family, growing up and much more. Most people forget what home really means and take it for granted. Home is a place of wonders where we can follow our dreams without being judged. Home is something you can never forget, it’s the only place you’d want to be in if you were upset. You might forget them, but your home holds all your memories like when you took your first steps or said your first words. To me, home acts as a protective shield against the outside world, offering a safe space to retreat after a long day. In my mind, when I think of home, I see my family gathered in the living room, laughing over board games, the room filled with familiar voices that remind me I belong here. My home is my comfort zone, this is where I always feel like myself. I went from childish and silly to mature in this home. You need bricks, cement, and tools to make a house, but you need memories, trust, and the people you love to make a home. Sometimes, to grow, you have to step away from home to start a new chapter of your life. But that doesn’t mean home is gone. You don’t have to be close to home to feel it, because home is where the heart is.
