Meaning of Home- Why is Habitat for Humanity Important?

Everyone deserves to have the comfort and safety of a home, but nowadays, houses are really expensive And some people can't afford it. Habitat for Humanity is an organization that helps millions of families around the world, and they're probably in your area too! one awesome thing about them is that they are a nonprofit organization! Nonprofit means that they don't do what they do to get money, they do it to help people in need. You might be wondering, what is it that they do? Well, I'll tell you! Habitat for Humanity builds houses for families that maybe can't afford the new expensive houses. They take volunteers, to help build with the professional builders, and the soon to be homeowners even help too! Not only does Habitat for Humanity help build the house, but they also help with the money part too! Usually, people have to pay a big amount of money all at one time, which is very hard. Habitat for Humanity spreads out their payment so that they have time to pay it off. Habitat for Humanity doesn't always build each house, they also improve people's houses for a low price. Every business should get money somehow, but how would they get money if they're nonprofit? Well Habitat for Humanity gets lots of donations from around the world, and you might not know it, but even me writing this is a donation! Yeah! This right here is a competition that donates for Habitat for Humanity so that they cannot just build the homes but change the lives. did you know, that in Canada there are nearly 60,000 people that don't have a home to sleep in each night? That's a big problem. but if we keep donating, we can fix that problem. Lots of people around the world spend their lives renting homes, living with family members, or even living in hotels. Which in the long run costs more than buying a house itself. But when they buy a home from habitat for humanity, they will still have enough money to live a normal everyday life. It has been proven that job earnings go up for the homeowners, because when they're maybe renting a house, they don't have enough money to pursue and focus on their career. Habitat for Humanity has been around for 50 years; Founded in 1976 by Millard and Linda fuller and it has spread around more than 70 countries! In my area they have helped 91 families! That's 141 adults and 220 kids! Habitat for Humanity's vision is a world where everyone has at least a decent home and I hope that vision comes true.
