What Home Means to Me

What is the difference between a home and a house? Your home is your place for family, safety, and memories. Remember that. For me, my home is coming home to a nice meal. I always love coming home to one of my dad's delicious meals. I love my ramen and burgers. My home is where my brothers make me laugh at their hilarious jokes. My home is when I am on the rink with my brothers, my dad, and my little sister. I love my family. I always feel safe when I’m at home. I feel safe when my mom gives me a hug goodnight. I am so thankful for being under a roof. I know that so many people in the world don’t have houses but that doesn’t make them homeless. It just makes them houseless, because wherever someone is thinking about you is where your home is. I always feel safer when I’m with someone, family or friends. It is always better to be with someone, if you're not with someone you could get lonely or scared. That is how your home makes you feel safe. I always make so many memories when I’m with my family. I always make memories at my cabin with my family. Like going off the rope swing at the boathouse and swimming in the icy water during March break, going sledding with my cousins and so many other things. I also make memories when I’m on vacation with my family. Like when my siblings and I made a hermit crab hotel and how the crabs were the security guards, all in PEI. There are so many different memories I have with my family. This is what home means to me, and I love it. Soon you won’t be with your family, so remember to live your life to the fullest.
