Meaning Of Home

Home is not just a building, or somewhere you sleep, it’s not just a place that has a roof, it's the memories you make. For me, it is celebrating birthdays, having friends and people you love over, and playing games with my sister. From morning hugs to bed time cuddles and then saying “I love you”. Home is when I get home from school and my grandpa helps me with my homework when I need some help. Also, it’s my grandma making spaghetti for supper and smelling it from my bedroom. Then, my parents get home from work and we all talk about how good or bad our day was. Eating supper as a family is one of my favorite times of day because I get to spend time with my family seeing and hearing laughter and love around the dinner table. Then, watching tv, playing a game or watching a movie together. Home is when you can feel happiness, it is when you smell your parents making your favorite food, it is when I hear my sister telling funny jokes and everyone laughing, it's when I see everyone so happy. Home is my culture of Spanish and Portuguese. Home is when I feel mad, sad, frustrated, excited, happy, and when we as a family are spending time together. My home means everything to me.
