Home is not a House

Home. A word not defined by a house or a building, but as a state of mind. “Home is a house! What are you even talking about!” Home is different for different people, but no matter where you are, your home is different. Maybe it's your bedroom, or a park, or a video game, or a classroom, it could be anything! Home is a place of joy that would make anyone feel at peace, it’s where you go if you might be having a rough day, or where you go to relieve your stress. Home is a place where you feel no judgement, or sorrow. Home is not a place of hate, it’s a place of safety. For me, home is my room, where I play legos and create stories just from the bricks on my desk. I lie on my bed as it hugs me in its soft cushions, or where I play games on my Ipad with my friends, sometimes I watch the stars dance in the sky on cold winter nights from my window. Some people would think that home is just a building, but they are far from correct. Home isn’t just made from bricks and cement, it’s made from joy, happiness, and memories! Above all else, home is not just a house, it's a safe place for you to do anything you dream of! Home is not a house.
