A House V.S. A Home

A house is made of sticks and bricks But a home is made of laughter and fun A house may have plenty of room or space But a home is a family, fun -loving place A house may be a structure stuck in one space But a home is an adventure that moves from place to place A house may have a yard where you can play But a home could be the streets on a lively day A house may have walls there to protect you But a home is where your family makes you feel safe A house may have colorful walls on the outside But a home is covered in photos of love A house is full of furniture But a home is full of cozy hugs A house may have bowls, spoons and plates But a home is full of hand made treats A house may have floors on the ground But a home has cute stuffies all over my bed A house may have paint on the walls But a home has stuff all over the place A house may have hooks and hangers with coats on them But a home has songs hanging in the air A house may have paint and lots of walls But a house has lots of crafts and books A house may have doors and lights But a home has music in the kitchen A house may have toys placed perfectly But a home has family all over the place A house may have paths and nice cut trees But home has dog walks on the rail trail A home is where the heart is A place to call your own Thanks Habitat for Humanity for building homes for the homeless
