Home is as Sweet as a Maple Tree

Home is where I feel safe and warm It is also a place where there is no harm It is where I rest from a long day And it is a place where I can play It’s where my family lives. And I learn to forgive We learn how to care And learn not to pull each other’s hair Home is where I can be me And where I am truly free Home is where people, to me, are kind Also, it is where I rest my mind Home isn’t just a structure. It isn’t just where I sleep or eat. Home is where I feel safe and supported. It makes me feel calm after a long day and happy when I wake up. Here is why I love home. When I am at home, I know that nothing and no one can harm me. I feel powerful because no one can stop me from doing what I like. For example, when painting at home, I am inspired by the love around me. At home, I know my family is there to protect me. I can sleep soundly, play, and have fun peacefully. Here is why I love having fun at home. Home is where I am supported. When I struggle, my family helps me succeed. When I try new things, they cheer me on! They give me advice and remind me that I am not alone. Their encouragement makes me feel strong and confident. Knowing that I have people who care about me makes home where I always want to be! Home is more than a structure. Home is where I am safe and feel supported. No matter how life changes or where life takes me, I know I will always have a place to call home.
