Home Is My Heart
My home is more than walls and a roof. My home is where I can be myself, where I can laugh, cry, or just share my thoughts and fears without fear of judgment. No matter the location, it is where my true self belongs exactly as I am.
My home is a place where I am with my family and I am never lonely because I have a sister and a brother to play with. We race through the hallways, invent silly games, and that makes ordinary days adventurous and unforgettable. When life feels heavy, they are always there with a shoulder to cry on, reminding me that I am never alone.
My home is a sanctuary of comfort and freedom where I never hide my emotions. My mom’s warm hug softens the hardest day, and my dad’s footsteps remind me I am safe. I can be loud or quiet, happy or sad, and my home accepts me completely, allowing me to express every feeling without fear. Within my home, every sound and smell carries a story of love and joy. The kitchen smells of my grandma’s lasagna bubbling in the oven or her golden, cheesy khachapuri fresh from the stove. We gather around the table, laughing and sharing stories, good or bad.
Born in England, I have lived on 2 continents and in 5 cities as an expat family. Each shaped me to be who I am today. Home is not the location, home is a place to be myself, a place of love, and a place to be free. It is where I grow, dream, and heal. Home is where I get my first wings to fly.
Home is more than walls and a roof, my home is where I am always accepted for who I truly am.
