The Difference Between Living and Belonging
While a house is a physical structure of timber glass and static infrastructure constructed for shelter, a home is an intangible sanctuary where my roots are planted (a home is a peaceful feeling of safety where I truly belong)
Houses are just built with infrastructure, but for homes inside the infrastructure there are miniscule but prudent memories, laughter, and more. The scrumptious smell of the creamy and nut based gravy of Malai Kofta is so succulent that my mouth can’t resist any more time for waiting. I encounter home in a bright glow of the hallway that signifies for me as a sign of protection. Not only do I smell Malia Kofta but I also smell home as a pungent aroma of my mom’s mouth watering spices. A scent that is so perpetually etched(lasts forever)in my heart. Not only that, but it also enfolds me in my IB traits such as communicators and balanced. The reason I am balanced at home is because I will have to not only do my homework but I will also have to do classes and I should also have enough time to do some sort of entertainment. The reason I can practice my communication skill at home is because at home I talk with pulchritudinous words in English and I try to mostly speak in English at home.
In my opinion a house is just a tangible infrastructure but the sensory memories within make it a home.
