Home is not a House

A home is not a house, a home is somewhere you are comfortable and cozy, somewhere you are playing with your siblings, or even somewhere you're just yourself. A house is not like a home, a house is just a building. A home can be a condo, an apartment, a mansion, or any type of building but no matter what, it is YOUR home. Not everyone has a home, only one in eight Canadians do not have a home and there are over 40 million people in Canada, that's over 5 million people who don't have a home. Whether your home is big or small, you will always belong there. A house has no meaning, but a home does. A house doesn't have memories, but a home does. A home has everything you need, but a house doesn't. A home and a house are alike, but totally different. A house has furniture, but a home has that smell that makes you happy, the people that you love, and your favourite cookies that your mom makes. A home is not a house, a home can be your home.
