Our Homes Are Beyond A Place
What does home mean to you? To me, our homes aren’t just buildings; they're a warm, cozy shelter that protects us and a place where joyful memories are made. Home is my own unique and loved place.
This comfy place we call home is where I dive into playing, studying, and where my voice splashes with happiness. It’s a great place to share my emotions because I can be myself.
In my snuggly bed, reading books creates imaginary worlds within me, like a bear waking up from hibernating gently. I eat delicious, savoury meals that my mom makes instead of takeout food. The heavenly smell of my mom’s French toast travels around my home, making me feel thankful for every fresh, homemade meal.
With my dad, we have fun playing many sports together in the bright summer! Since a park is nearby, we play tennis, badminton, and our version of cricket! He taught me so many sports we’ve played together!
My older brother and I enjoy watching our favourite, humorous shows on Netflix. One time, when we played Asphalt Legends (a car game), I won! My brother looked confused and exclaimed, “How?!” We sometimes have small arguments, but everything always gets solved!
What I love the most about my peaceful home is that my family is so kind and loving! They always help me out when I struggle or am confused!
My family makes our home more lively and welcoming. I’m lucky to have them and after all, one thing stands important: Every unforgettable memory is a puzzle piece of my home, my family, and our jewel-like moments.
I appreciate Habitat for Humanity for helping those in need of a safe, friendly home. Everyone deserves and needs a place to live and to be welcomed. A home, a memorable one.
