What Home Means to Me

What Home Means to Me Other people come home from school and sit down to do their homework. They rest, call a friend, maybe play a game on their phone and even eat supper . They don't even think about the fact that they just stepped into a warm house and received shelter , having a roof to protect them from danger . Every day when I come home I think in my head for a second. How I didn't need to be freezing outside. I have food waiting for me and I appreciate that so much. Home is the backdrop for favorite memories and everyday life creating a sense of history and comfort. It is a place where I can be myself. People listen to me and help me when I am experiencing trauma at school. My home is the definition of love and nobody's home can compare to mine. My home is a place where I can escape, feel relaxed and feel loved. It is a place where the people I love with all my heart are there for the hardest times and struggles that I possess. My house is filled with laughter and fun everyday. When I come from school I feel all my worries go away. I sigh of relief before stepping into my comfort place. I think home is a place to feel loved/cherished . Liel.M
