What home is to me <3

Home is hiding under a soft blanket as the soft felt touches my skin, and my headphones play music, that kind of music that I can't quite remember the lyrics of. Though it still feels safe to me. Home is humming to music, pop, rock, hip-hop, indie, jazz, any kind of music is welcome to me, that kind of music that I can feel in my bones, music is my home. Home is walking on the beach, the wind blowing my hair as the squishy sand tickles my feet just slightly, while I hear the calm waves of the ocean. Home is writing my thoughts out on paper, it could be a story I've been making or just how I feel at that moment, it makes me happy, and that's what makes me feel at home. Home is spending time with my family. When I spend time with my family, like perhaps watching a movie, their emotions affect me! If they're happy, I'm happy, if they're sad, then so am I! Home is learning new things, even if I don't like it, the knowledge fills my brain as I learn, piece by piece, when I start to understand it. Home is doing what I love most, when I do what I want, my heart beats faster, not from anger but from excitement. Then excitement fills my bloodstream, making me motivated for that certain thing I'm doing. Home is art, home is what I hand draw, flowers, people, landscapes, butterflies, that's what makes me excited, sometimes too excited, but I love it. Home is reading. When I pick up a good book and take my time to read, feeling the emotions throughout it, a good book makes me excited for the next one, it gives me the opportunity to feel the book and enjoy it my way. Home is talking with my friends too loudly, even if the energy in the conversation is wild, it makes me slightly calm and makes me feel happy! Home is a feeling, that kind of feeling that's safe, sometimes relaxing, and sometimes not, but still is nice. Home is my body, home is when I feel comfortable in my own body, when I'm content with myself, just the way I am, without people judging me. Home is not something I search for. It’s something I create. Home is not just where I am. Home is how I feel. Home is every moment that makes my heart feel safe, understood, and alive.
