In my home

In my home I made new friends Laughter and fun that never ends. my home is not perfect but it knows my name A place that I do not hide my shame My home is where I learned to be myself. Not pretend to be someone else. Home is where I am known, where I don’t have to pretend to be stronger. Sometimes, home is not a place at all— it's the people who makes you feel like you belong. Home is a special, happy, cozy place. It’s where my family laughs and plays, And the walls hold memories of all my days. The smell of dinner fills the air, And I feel love waiting there. My room is small but it’s all mine, With books and toys I can arrange in line. I love my home, it’s mine, it’s true, It keeps me safe in everything I do. No matter where life’s path may roam, My heart is happy, because I am home. In my home I see my friends the laughs the memories that we all share. Home is a special place Moments and memories that you will never forget. By Elizabeth Onuoha
