I Finally Know What Home Means To Me
Before I didn’t know what home meant to me. One day in class my teacher read us a book. She asked us what the difference is between a house and a home. Now I actually know what home means to me.
People are a special part of my home. My brothers annoy me, and I annoy them. Sometimes we have the best times together. My parents’ warm hugs hold me in good and bad times. Showing me that I’m special. Friends at school keep me happy. When I’ve had a bad day, they’re there to magically make me happy.
Music is at home, on all the time. Sometimes I put music on, other times my dad or my brothers put music on.
My taste buds are bursting with flavor when I eat the mystical food my parents kindly make for my family. I love to cook with my dad and learn spectacular tips and tricks. In my home, a tradition is that on a kid’s birthday they get to decide what they want for breakfast.
In my room, I have a purple wall. It makes me feel special and loved because my dad painted it for me when I was a baby. All my beautiful stuffed animals are soft and help me stay happy in my bad times.
I’m so sad that not everybody can have a comfortable home. My home is special to me and makes me feel loved. Thank you Habitat for Humanity for building homes for people in need, not just houses.
