Poem : It’s Not a Place

It’s not a place. Camila Arias, 6th grader. Home is not a place, not a house, not a building. Home can be anywhere as long as you feel the warmth, the joy, the love, and the laughter surrounding you. Home is wherever your family is, wherever you feel safe, comfortable, and totally free to be yourself without worrying about any judgment. Home can be in the middle of a desert as long as I have my family, joy, love, and comfort. You too, matey, home can be anywhere you feel safe, loved, and confident to show your true self. That is the true meaning of home.
