The Importance of Home

Homelessness is a growing problem in our world, but we can have hope. Home is a thing that bonds us together, from the kitchen’s delectable smells to the living room’s fun. Home bonds us. The Bible has a lot to say about home; here is one of my favourite Bible verses: The Lord is my shepherd. I have what I need. He lets me lie down in green pastures; he leads me beside still waters. He renews my life; he leads me among the right paths, for his namesake. Even when I go through the darkest valleys, I fear no danger, for you are with me. Your rod and your staff, they comfort me. Psalm 23:1-4 Home is a safe place. It keeps me from danger. It makes me feel safe. God can protect us no matter what. Habitat for Humanity has helped a lot. They have built homes for people who do not have one. These homes help families feel safe. We fight together. When we battle homelessness alone it is nothing, but together we have VICTORY.
