Home Sweet Home

A home is where my family lies, Bringing safety to my eyes. A home has a community, nice and large, With neighbours and their cars. A home is beautiful to see, Just screaming, “That’s where I want to be!” A home is a home no matter how grand, It could just be a piece of land. A home is full of warmth, Like a fire crackling, or a stove. A home has tons of love, No matter the size, or who, or what it is. It might even be a dog, a cat, or your pet rock, Who knows? A home shows yourself, Maybe through rooms, a poster, or a book that you love. But if you have a house, It’s barren, it’s dark; You couldn’t describe it for your life A house has bricks, furniture and a frame. But a home, even if it’s tight, Doesn’t matter because it has might. A home is different for everybody; Houses are the same, Not special, just a place. A house makes you feel lost in your own mind. A home you know like the back of your hand, And that really comes to show, Just like a band. A house is just a place, A place that you may know. A home is a also place, But it has memories that glow. But a house is a place, Common and normal, that isn’t easy to embrace. A home may be on a map, Or somewhere where it doesn’t show.
