Meaning of Home

There are different ways to talk about home, but I’m going to be talking about what it means to me. Home to me means a loving family and a relaxing, comfortable space. My extended family which includes my grandparents, aunts, and uncles lives in India and when they come visit us the home becomes special because I feel extra loved. It’s full of energy and happiness. When a new appliance comes this also makes me feel good. I love new appliances. When my home gets filled with family I get extra love, toys, and learn about Indian culture. It also makes me feel special when family from India comes because I only get to see them in couple of years gap. Plus, they are good at cooking Indian dishes, and when they come, they cook very scrumptious Indian foods. My home gives us the space to embrace this affection. My home is also the most relaxing and comfortable zone for me. I have a special room for myself. My room consists of my bed, books, clothes, book shelf, cushion and my most hardworked LEGOs. I have been building these LEGOs since last 3 years which my mischievous little brother sometimes breaks it. However, my home helps me to hold and cherish these moments. So, for me home is a place which holds memories, laughter, moments, sadness, and mischiefs. My home also teaches me my responsibilities (by doing housing chores) and family values (like being honest, loyal, and respecting everyone). These are some of the things which defines home for me.
