Meaning of Home

A home can be anywhere; it is not just a building. It’s a gathering place for everyone we love and care for. My parents took me to Canada. The “why” never stands; it fades away in one second. The truth is, to give a better feeling. Being loved. When I was in China, I still had a home. But it doesn't feel the same, an empty building; busy parents and the eerie atmosphere. It’s just a shelter, what could it be? Not for a long time did my family decide that I shouldn’t grow in grief, so I moved to the best home now, a happy life, a joyful childhood. Canada is a great place, even when I’m upstairs and I smelled the scent of supper, I know it is care. We have a trampoline, every game, and every smile there. It may seem small, but I will remember every piece of joy and happiness back over there. My home is like a puzzle. My mom is the hero; my dad is the best; even my little sister- the chit chatting one- gives a lot of cheerful sound in every inch of air. Home is a place with a warm heart, it is a place when you are hurt or unhappy, family says: “It is going to be okay.” A home is a place with love, joy, hope, and peace. It is not hollow, but the best pace on Earth gives you warm and cozy feelings. Thank you, Habitat for Humanity, for helping and volunteer building homes for people who need one. Everyone deserves a home.
