What is Home?
Home can be anywhere, home can be your house, home can be Mexico or Jamaica, home can be anywhere. Home is a place where you feel safe, loved, surrounded by comfortable independent memories, and all those big words that mean a lot. It might be where you took your first step. You feel like you have backup. Here is what home means to me: my home is my house. I was born in my house. I took my first step in my house. My dad and my mom live in our house. I feel safe with my family. Around my neighborhood there are so many nice people. It's like a community that I feel safe in and I love it. I feel happy, loved, safe, and a lot more when I'm in my house that I call home. I have a sister and we do everything together. In grade 4 we got separated and we did not get to see each other, not at recess and not at lunch. We would always be so happy to see each other at the end of the day. Now I'm in grade 5 and we get to see each other at lunch and recess and I feel safe. We will always play together and have so much fun. She is my home! I have a pet cat. He loves my sister and he loves our house. I have a desk in my room. He will jump on top of it and when we are not home he will call out a loud meow. For us, it is the cutest thing ever! We all like to go down to our basement and watch movies together and watch hockey games. I love it. That is what home means to me. Thank you habitat for humanity.
