Where I Belong

Home isn’t just a place, it’s where I feel safe. When you walk in, you feel love in the air like a warm blanket. My kitchen isn’t just pots and pans, it’s where love and hard work are put into meals. My dining table is where we share about our day. We laugh, we’re happy and we have a good time together. My living room isn’t just cotton, lint and coins. It has memories of my two dogs that loved that couch. We also do Christmas mornings, play board games, laugh and cry. I am lucky to have a roof over my head and clothes on my back. When you walk into my basement, there’s no beige or black shades, there’s a pop of colour which is pink, blue, purple and yellow. We watch movies, shows, Superbowl’s and we have fun. The garage is where we play golf with my family. We sit and talk, have parties, laugh and have fun. When you go outside and leave of my home, you have a smile on your face and you feel good about yourself. Really home to me is just being with my family, having food in the fridge and having clothes on my back. Home or no home, all I need is my family.
