The Meaning of Home

Home means family and friends, having a time. Home means refuge, when anywhere else means wrong. Home means rest when you’re a grumpy grouch. Home means happiness when you've had a bad day. Home smells like beauty hidden behind the vault of the city. Home smells strong, like vine, keeping nature alive. Home smells sweet, like pockets of posies. Home smells great, like the beachside on a warm day. Home tastes sweet in a bitter world. Home tastes like a steak made by the grin of my father. Home tastes like cake, behind the sweet smile of my mother. Home sounds like a hive of bees, too much happening. Home sounds quiet like a snake slithering. Home sounds healing, especially at night. Home can sometimes look dirty or feel wrong, But I can always make a way for it to be comfortable. Home is usually great, although sometimes I have nightmares about being tired. Home is my refuge, Home is home.
