Meaning of home

There is no real meaning of home, whether you are an animal, a human, or creature. You make your home a home . For me it's the sweet smell of freshly baked cookies off the stove, or the feeling of a soft warm blanket. Yours might be different but that's what makes your home a home.You might say there is no difference between house and a home but there is, a house is something you can buy but a home can`t be bought, it's how you make a home feel safe and warm. When I first moved into my first house it felt like a structure, but I knew it was going to be my home. When I went up the cold rugged stairs, it felt almost as hard as ice, but over time it would feel like a warm soft rug. Soon my room came into sight, dust filled the room with a little sunlight. One day I would wake up in this room and it would feel like a home of my own. I went down the stairs and saw the kitchen. I imagined my family all close together baking dinner. I am grateful from every step of the way, turning the direction, making it a home of my own. I know others do not have a home at first , but I want them to know that their house will always be a home over time.
