Home isn't just a place

Home isn't just a place with my brother, a place that keeps me safe, A place where my mom cooks. Home is just like a friend. When I play with my cousins it makes me joyful and excited in my home where I am cozy and loved. Where I drink tea with a blanket all over me. When my whole family gatheres to eat I feel comfy. The smell of my mom's food flows everywhere in the house. We share and care in my home. When I see my big parking lot I know I am home. I wonder how you feel when you get home. My mom makes fluffy cookies, yummy, and I want to eat them. Do you have a home in a different country? I am from India. I left my home in India to come to Halifax. I was a bit sad and a bit happy to go but I had to go with my parents. Did you have a feeling like this? Both of my homes are a treasure for me. When I get sad my home makes me happy. Every home is different.
