The Meaning of Home - My Cat, My Family, and My Drum Set

Home is my cat, my family, and my drum set. My cat makes me feel warm and secure. Sometimes, when I’m feeling a little down, I lay on the couch, and it’s like my cat knows I’m sad and she curls up with me until my sadness goes away. My family makes me feel loved and like I belong; they light up the dark and always make me happy. When I have a rough day, I come home to my family, and they understand me just how I am. My Dad plays me a soft song on the guitar, my Mom does a vision meditation, and my brother empathizes with me. These are the reasons my family flips my day around. My drum set is my happy place. drums are a way to smash out my worries and rock out with friends. All of these things represent home to me.
