Home is Like a Book

Home is like a book; every chapter is a memory. Chapter one is always calm and cozy. Imagine a soft blanket covering you from the freezing cold and rain in the middle of the dark night. I remember being in Italy and playing with cars and dolls with my cousins and brother for Christmas eve and then afterwards, being at a giant table full of delicious foods with all my relatives. The day after, I wake up to the jolly sound of bells and looking at a Christmas tree full of colorful Christmas presents for everyone and being excited about my cousins coming over. I often think about the people who don’t have a house and relatives, and I feel grateful for what I have. Chapter two is always exciting for everyone! I always feel happy when it comes to sleepovers or staying with my family, every time it’s time for dinner, I run to the table and my mom makes some delicious Italian foods. I especially like when my mom makes pizza because we get some soda, and we talk about our day. After dinner, I normally draw but sometimes I play cards with my brother, or I just stay with my mom and talk with her. At sleepovers, I love playing a game called “Granny”, which is really similar to tag, and I play it with all my friends! Afterwards, my mom makes some pasta for us, and we just play some board games together until we are really tired and ready to go to sleep. Chapter three is kind of fun, but it’s calming at the same time. Every single time I come home from middle school, my neighbour rings my doorbell and I open the door for her. She comes inside my house to play some board games with me, or we just talk until my mom comes home to make some amazing Italian foods, like pizza for us - It’s pretty fun to do together! I personally like it when my parents finally come home from work so we can spend some time together doing random stuff like talking about our day or maybe cooking some sweets like cookies, muffins, or some cakes. Finally, Chapter Four is something I’m grateful for! I'm grateful for having my own family and house, and I will never wish for something else in my whole life and you should be proud for what you have too!
