Home Is a Season

There are four seasons and each one is a new home. Home in the summer is the Baseball diamond. I have some of my best memories at the baseball diamond. Winning A side tier one Provincials.Making new friendships and strengthening old ones. I am grateful for that. Home in the winter is the Hockey rink. That is where I made most of my friends. It is where I learned to skate and play. It is where I saved my very first shot, scored my very first goal and everything in between. I am grateful for that. Home in the fall is the harvest. Being in the combine with dad.Home is the wind on my face. Home is the cows and the barn.Home is jumping in hay bales. I am grateful for that. Home in the spring is just sweater weather again.Home is the wind on my face as I run to the trampoline and play. Home is my comfy sweater as we play tag outside.Home is dad huffing and puffing after playing on the trampoline. I am grateful for that. Home is a season summer, winter, spring and fall. Home is that unchangeable feeling of love and happiness.
