The Meaning of Home

When I think of home, the first thing that comes to my mind is family because whenever I go home, my family is there. I also fight with my family from time to time though, but no matter how much we fight, we will always have each other's back because we love each other even when it doesn't look like it. When you're at home you should feel safe and also have privacy. Your parents also shouldn't always barge into your room. You should have comfort in your home. It doesn't have to be fluffy pillows or a soft blanket type of comfort. This allows you to be more energised to do things such as help around the home and play with your friends. If you don’t have anything to sleep on then you won’t have as much energy to do those things. Your parents also shouldn't hate you for who you are. They should love you for who you are. For example, you should be yourself, you shouldn't pretend to be someone you're not, especially at home. Lastly, you should feel loved in your home and you shouldn't feel like a freak or disgusting for doing things you love. For example, you shouldn't feel weird about the thing you love to do or talk about. Your family should make you feel accepted and included for who you are not who you are not. I don’t really mind if I win or lose. I'm just writing about my home and what I think home should feel like.
