Home Isn’t Just a House
Home isn’t just the house you live in, it’s a place where you feel safe , where you are originally from, or just a place you love.
My home is The Pas. I love and miss my old houses I used to live in. I remember riding my scooter up and down the street. That made me feel at home.
I remember playing with my uncle, auntie, mom, and brothers in the living room on the x-box playing Halo. That made me feel at home.
I remember me and my friends outside during the hottest summer days playing on the play structure while my brothers play with their friends and all the parents talk about grown up stuff. That made me feel at home.
I remember splashing around on the hottest days, in the cold water at the little water park near my house. That made me feel at home.
I remember throwing a bouncy ball down the hallway for my dad to catch. As I hear my brothers playing with their toy cars in their bedroom. That made me feel at home.
I remember my school with my friends and I laughing and giggling in the back of the classroom as we impatiently waited for the lunch bell to ring. That made me feel at home.
I used to live in the Pas, but The Pas is still my home. Because of all the memories and also because I was born there.
I love and miss my home so much, but I also love Habitat for Humanity for helping people by giving people homes to live in.
