My Meaning of Home

The meaning of home to me is a place where you can go to relax, spend quality time with your family and just be calm. Sure sometimes it’s chaos, somebody might be fighting but still the comfort of home is warm and relaxing. You might have a bad day but going home to a nice dinner, and your mom or dad fixes everything. If you look at it in a religious way, home could mean Hecate or Vesta, Greek and Roman goddess of home. But to me home doesn't have to just be a house, it could be somebody that makes you feel at home. Like for me that person could be my mother, grandma, and dad. They make me feel like nothing bad is happening in the world. That feeling alone is amazing, nothing can be better than that. The couch is a place where you and your family can relax and have fun together. The kitchen table is a place where you can share what happened today. The bed that hugs you to sleep and makes you feel ten times happier. Even when I first walk in the door I feel butterflies fly past me and all the negativity go away. My grandma's house is like a second home to me. She welcomes me and we watch shows and play Rummy. We have tons of treats and she makes delicious dinners. Sometimes she shows me our family on Ancestry. It's fascinating. It is scientifically proven that your home can boost your happiness and influence your wellbeing. So I guess that if you're happy you have an amazing home like no other. I’d say I have an amazing home because I'm happy a lot of the time.
